Join as Medical Affairs Scientist Field Oncology on secondment until June 2027, field-based in Niedersachsen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hessen.
As integral member of Pfizer Oncology's Medical Affairs department in Germany, handle medical-scientific care for regional, national, and international clinical and scientific experts in your region. Initiate, coordinate, and accompany medical education and research projects on regional and national levels. Serve as central driver in Pfizer's breast cancer network.
Work closely with cross-functional teams from Medical, Marketing, and Sales as expert for breast cancer medical-scientific issues. Maintain close contacts with experts and clinical study centers. Provide balanced scientific information on Pfizer breast cancer medicines in individual or group discussions.
Organize and lead regional and national advisory boards, communicating insights to medical and cross-functional teams. Support clinical studies and Investigator Sponsored Research projects. Act as internal expert for Marketing and Sales, training colleagues on relevant oncology topics.
Requirements
- Completed university degree in Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, or Natural Sciences (Sachkenntnis per §75 Arzneimittelgesetz) including Promotion
- Professional experience in pharmaceutical industry Medical Affairs with Oncology focus (ideally breast cancer) and clinical/scientific experience in breast cancer advantageous
- Deep medical-pharmaceutical specialist knowledge including scientific methodology and interpretation of clinical studies in Oncology (ideally breast cancer)
- Specific knowledge of healthcare system (drug authorities, physicians, pharmacy), products, and market in breast cancer indication
- Experience engaging with key opinion leaders and clinical centers in Oncology
Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams from Medical, Marketing, and Sales as expert for medical-scientific breast cancer issues in Germany
- Maintain close contact to regional, national, and international clinical and scientific experts and clinical study centers in the region
- Provide balanced and current scientific information on Pfizer breast cancer medicines and discuss data with experts in individual or group settings
- Engage in conception and execution of high-class medical education projects for physicians with internal and external partners
- Organize regional and national advisory boards in breast cancer, lead them, and communicate insights to (inter-)national medical and cross-functional teams
- Support supervision of Pfizer clinical studies and Investigator Sponsored Research projects
- Serve as internal medical-scientific expert for Marketing and Sales colleagues on Pfizer medicines and relevant oncology entities, training them
- Evaluate current clinical research results, key publications, and congress contributions from medical-scientific perspective in relevant oncology areas
