We are looking for a highly motivated team member with strong scientific and writing capabilities seeking to apply their skills to delivering best-in-class medical education programmes including digital deliverables and patient engagement. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Medical Writer to join a dynamic team with a strong track record of building long-term strategic partnerships. This full-time role supports clients with blockbuster agent portfolios, competitive pipelines, and innovative therapy types.
Play an active role in building strategy with clients based on excellent knowledge of therapy areas and highest standards of writing. Serve as an invaluable scientific and strategic partner while collaborating with account management teams to advance client partnerships. Deliver best-in-class medical communications aligned with client commercial objectives.
Join Lucid Group, a global healthcare communications agency with deep therapeutic expertise across the asset lifecycle and over 500 highly trained professionals. This position aligns with Lucid Global, working with global brand teams at big and mid-tier pharmaceuticals and biotech clients. Operate within a flexible environment spanning London, Macclesfield, Manchester, and remote UK locations.
Act as a key ambassador for Lucid Group, ensuring integration of core editorial processes and best-practice writing principles. Conduct scientific reviews for highest factual accuracy, strategy alignment, and regulatory adherence. Work efficiently across company divisions to craft breakthrough strategies that maximise performance.

- Experience building scientific strategies for pharmaceutical clients
Responsibilities
- Play an active role in building strategy with clients based on excellent knowledge of therapy area and highest standards of writing
- Serve as an invaluable scientific and strategic partner for clients
- Collaborate with the account management team to build and advance client partnerships
- Deliver best-in-class medical communications by supporting the Executive Scientific Director or Scientific Director to build scientific strategy
- Ensure the integration of core editorial processes and best-practice writing principles within project teams
- Work autonomously to develop content against an agreed brief
- Conduct scientific review for the highest level of factual accuracy, alignment to scientific strategy, and adherence to regulatory requirements or code
- Work efficiently across company divisions
