About this role

AdMed is an award-winning, integrated agency that designs and delivers modern training tools for pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic and medical products. A Medical Writer acts as a content expert, a face, and a voice for AdMed. The role spans all stages from brainstorming with clients to researching, writing original content, and acting as a virtual teacher in video programs.

Write outstanding, original scientific copy for pharmaceutical sales representatives, physicians, and patients. Generate ideas individually, with colleagues, and clients to turn scientific facts into engaging video training. Attend client meetings to listen to needs, offer feedback, and build trust for future commitments.

Guide team members including artists, editors, and writers as a content expert. Review educational content for scientific accuracy and clients’ stylistic preferences. Dig into details with research, referencing, and awareness of current literature and guidelines.

This hybrid role requires 3 days in the Philadelphia office with a dynamic, passionate team. Take control as an on-camera trainer in custom videos and translate training into print manuals, virtual sessions, and web applications. Identify project challenges and spearhead resolutions.

Requirements

  • 1 year of medical writing experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical education environment
  • Knowledge of AMA style
  • Attention to scientific accuracy and stylistic detail
  • Good understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Experience in medical writing, referencing, review, and copy approval
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce detailed, comprehensive documentation
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
