The Senior Medical Science Liaison bridges the gap between Supernus and the medical community as a scientific expert. This role educates healthcare professionals, builds relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, and collects real-world insights on postpartum depression, depression, and related therapies.

Day-to-day duties include establishing peer-to-peer relationships with regional KOLs, HCPs, academic centers, and health care systems. Provide compliant educational programs, presentations, and scientifically accurate responses to unsolicited medical information requests. Develop and execute regional territory plans aligned with Medical Affairs strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners including commercial sales, marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Legal. Contribute to Medical Affairs strategic and tactical plans, participate in initiatives, and lead projects. Field-based role requires up to 50-75% travel.

Requirements

  • MD, PharmD, PhD, or Doctor of Nursing, or other neuroscience degree with minimum three years of pharmaceutical industry experience as Medical Affairs
  • Five years of pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience in psychiatry, neurology, or neuroscience preferred
  • Previous experience with product launches, clinical development, or Pharmacoeconomics a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high ethical standards of integrity and quality
  • Self-starter with innovative and dynamic approach to work
  • Ability to consistently exhibit Supernus Values in interactions
  • Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with regional/national KOLs, HCPs, academic centers, and health care systems
  • Serve as subject matter expert on clinical and medical information for relevant neuroscience specialty areas
  • Provide scientifically accurate, compliant responses to unsolicited requests for medical information
  • Deliver compliant educational programs and presentations to HCPs and healthcare systems
  • Identify, develop, and execute regional territory plans for compliant medical personnel engagement aligned with Medical Affairs strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including commercial sales, marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Legal
  • Assist with identification of company grant opportunities directed towards improvements in patient care
  • Contribute to Medical Affairs strategic and tactical development plans and lead projects
