About this role

The Quality Assurance Associate II ensures production operations at the Omaha Manufacturing Facility meet company quality and operations procedures. This role focuses on receiving and releasing incoming materials while inspecting and releasing production lines. Day-to-day oversight of manufacturing operations is essential.

Perform line clearances, answer calls from Operations for quality issues, and inspect, sample, and release incoming raw materials and components. Release in-process materials to manufacturing and change status of materials in the inventory management system. Verify in-process and finished products to ensure specifications are met.

Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality Control, and Supply Chain departments to resolve issues like non-conforming inventory and production problems. Perform daily weight calibration checks and complete paperwork review for product release at the Distribution Center. Willingness to work day or evening shift as backup supports team needs.

Work independently within established procedures and train new QA Associates. Handle multiple projects with attention to detail while demonstrating a desire to learn. This role offers opportunities to build expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and comfortable working in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently, detail oriented, desire to learn, and handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Computer skills and use of databases for specifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform line clearances and line releases
  • Answer calls from Operations for any quality issues
  • Inspect, sample, and release incoming raw materials and components
  • Release in-process materials to the manufacturing operation
  • Change status (hold, release, etc.) of materials, components, and products in the inventory management system
  • Verify in-process and finished products to ensure specifications are met
  • Perform daily weight calibration checks of production scales
  • Work with the Operations team to resolve issues, ensuring product disposition as necessary
