As a Clinical Project Manager within the General Medicine organization, lead the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical projects. Ensure high-quality outcomes for sponsors while driving operational excellence and compliance.
This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and leadership to deliver projects on time, within scope, and per regulatory standards. Define and manage project plans including timelines, milestones, and staffing needs. Establish reporting schedules with updates to Business Development and sponsor representatives.
Communicate project information to internal teams, investigative sites, and sponsors. Perform financial management like monthly billing, forecasting, and contract amendments. Coordinate resources with departmental managers and oversee site-level data collection activities.
Lead and develop project teams through training, feedback, and performance expectations. Support Business Development at presentations and conferences. Oversee project close-out with final deliverables, fostering growth in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; degrees in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a related healthcare field strongly preferred
- Previous project management or leadership experience in the clinical development of investigational medications
- 1–3 years of clinical trials experience within a CRO or pharmaceutical research organization, preferably in a project management role
- Working knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and FDA regulations
- Experience with medical imaging is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Project
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Responsibilities
- Lead study start-up activities by reviewing study requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to develop plans and documentation
- Define and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, staffing needs, and project constraints
- Establish project reporting schedules and provide regular updates to Business Development leadership, Global Services Managing Directors, and sponsor representatives
- Communicate timely and appropriate project information to internal teams, investigative sites, and sponsor contacts
- Perform financial management activities, including monthly billing, forecasting, scope reviews, contract amendments, and pass-through cost management
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and partner with Quality Assurance on deviation documentation
- Train project teams on SOPs, protocol requirements, and project processes
- Lead and develop project teams through training, performance expectations, feedback, and collaboration with departmental managers
